The International Digital Transformation Conference (IDTC) aims to explore the latest trends, challenges, and opportunities in digital transformation and to provide a platform for government officials, universities, education institutes, private sector firms, and international IT companies to exchange ideas and insights.
Dr. Eng. Sami Hijjawi holds a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering (1987) and has extensive experience in civil engineering, including fieldwork, laboratory work, university teaching, research, and consultancy, since 1983 in Palestine, Jordan, and Yemen. He is a registered member of the Engineers Association – Jerusalem Center as an opinion engineer and holds the title of "Consulting Engineer" in his specialization from the Supreme Council for Accreditation and Qualification. Dr. Eng. Sami Hijjawi served as the Head of the Nablus Branch Committee and a member of the Engineers Association Council – Jerusalem Center from 2015 to 2021. He is the founder of an officially accredited engineering company in Palestine under the ISO-17025 quality system approved by the Standards Institution, Ministry of Economy, and Engineers Association. Additionally, he is a member of the Board of Trustees at Palestine Technical University – Kadoorie and has served as a part-time lecturer at the Colleges of Engineering at An-Najah National University and Birzeit University for several years. Currently, he serves as the Mayor of Nablus for the 2022–2026 term.
